How to Figure Out Your Budget for Drop Off Catering
“Drop off catering” is very popular. Drop off catering is meant for events that do not need/want or require staffing.
We like to joke… “Drop off catering does not mean we are going to leave tons of food at your doorstep.” We will bring it in and get it set up on the specified table.
Here is how to come up with a budget for catering delivery.
Food: All of our items are priced on our website. You will find various menus. Check out the menus that make sense for your event. Often, we see clients order from our Hot Tray Menu, Deli Menu, Appetizer/ Hors d’oeuvres Menu & Dessert Menu. Of course, you are welcome to check other menus too.
Make your selections and add them up. That math will give you your food total which will make up most of your budget.
Variable Costs: Your food will travel in equipment that will keep it hot. Depending on what you order you may want/need some “hot set up.” It is always a good plan to keep hot food hot after drop off. We can take care of this with what we call “basic hot set up.” This number is TBD based on your order.
Travel/Delivery: The next part of your drop off catering budget is “Travel/Delivery.” Rates are always fair and will vary based on time/distance. We calculate from our closest location.
NH Tax: New Hampshire Room/Meals tax will apply to your order. It is 8.5%.
Gratuity: We do not contract gratuity on a drop off service, but it is very common.
This info will give you a good idea of where you will land. You are welcome to send us your specific requests along with your location so we can get you a more exact number.
